A new University of Pittsburgh study reveals that craving a cigarette while performing a cognitive task not only increases the chances of a person's mind wandering, but also makes that person less likely to notice when his or her mind has wandered.

Don't we have a choice now to not smoke based on the knowledge that interferes with our mind? Once we make the choice to smoke, we are going to experience these things as part of the consequence of that choice.
By the way is our mind wandering like having an out of body experience? And where does the mind go anyway?
Hi rich thats fine as an argument for not smoking,
but did you know that you can't tell when your brain is running low on glucose? it just does and your mental performance goes in the tank.
biological bases for behavior and decision making is only as good as the material it runs on.
thinking is not supernatural, it is biological. therefore so is freewill and decision making.
